Family Services Association

Family Services has helped me for approximately 10 years! When I first came to find FS I had been through traumatic experiences and had no insurance. I had major depression, anxiety and PTSD. Through lots of counseling and time I am now able to cope and live my life again! I will forever be greatfull for the team at family services!

Family Services was there for me when I needed counseling the most. I was matched with a therapist who specialized in PTSD recovery (and yes, recovery from PTSD is possible!). After completing the program, I am able to continue a therapeutic relationship with my counselor for maintenance and trouble shooting. The point is, when I was at my very lowest and barely able to even make the phone call for help, Family Services scooped me up and planted my back on my feet. It wasn't easy, and my therapist made me WORK, but I am more myself than I ever thought I could be--and I love that.

They have 2 people with a 30 person line. Just for them to not be able to help you with anything and you waited in line for a phone ne number they could have posted on the door. Which makes you wait an undisclosed amount of time just to send you to a person who won't listen to you, doesn't care and just sends you to another person to wait another hour or three. If you have mental health issues don't go here it will only make you want to kill your self more. Watching how little they care about a human life is depressing.

My husband sees Dr. Bernie for individual counseling and we both see Jasmine Spradley for marriage counseling. We are so grateful for the impact counseling has had on our lives. I've had no trouble with communication, scheduling appointments, billing. Per my husband, Dr. Bernie is fantastic and my husband really enjoys his solo session. I can personally attest to what a great bedside manner Jasmine has. Really suggest making a call if you even think it might be beneficial to you.

I've been with this organization for over 9 years. They have gone beyond for me numerous times. I find the NP of Psychiatry team to be extremely knowledgeable. Also they show great compassion. During this entire pandemic I have not missed a single week of treatment. In the last 9 years I have never been hospitalized because of the diligent care I receive from this agency. Because of the therapy and tools provided, I have learned to manage the symptoms of my illness. There's nothing easy about mental illness. However, it doesn't have to define you. After 9 years of successfully managing my disease, due to the help and resources this association provides. I cannot say how much they changed my world for the better.
