I've taken my Corvette to Gearheads for repairs and maintenance issues. I've been very satisfied with the work done and the cost seems reasonable, especially when compared to a dealer. I'll continue to take the Vette here.

Gearheads provided timely feedback on the diagnosis of my car and was very easy to work with! They are not pushy like other shops and dealerships and are very transparent when suggesting additional service. The price was very reasonable for the area. This is my new go-to shop for my car and will definitely return for any future work needed for my car. Give this shop a try, they are very reasonable to work with and customer focused!

Came in with my 1988 Pontiac Fiero Formula to see if I could get some things fixed. I needed a part specific to that car and I had no luck finding it. They were able to find it after just a day or two. They treated the car with great care, had great customer service, and all with a fair price. 10/10 recommend.

I took my vehicle into Gearheads to have the outer tie rods replaced. I dropped it off in the morning and left my keys in the envelope and drop box as I start work before they opened. I picked it up after work, and there was no conversation other than the cost at that time. I paid my bill and took it straight to have it aligned, where I have paid for lifetime alignments on my vehicle, and was told that an alignment could not be done because a random piece of pipe had been put on the tie rod as a makeshift jam nut. I called Gearheads while with the mechanic doing the alignment, and gearheads told us that they didnt have any problems, and the mechanic doing the alignment must not have good enough tools do the job - no concern for me, my car, or the problem. Without the alignment, my car was not drivable as I had just got new tires and was not taking a chance to wear my tires out unevenly without the alignment. Gearheads told me they were closing, that they couldnt talk any longer, and that if I called back I would get an answering service. There was absolutely no offer to find a solution and definitely no admittance to putting some strange pipe on my car rather than an actual jam nut. I was left to scramble to find a mechanic to replace the random pipe jam nut on a Friday night and then still get it aligned. I have regular maintenance done on my car including tire rotations and alignments, so the makeshift jam nut was noticed immediately once gearheads stuck it on without telling me. I called and left several messages as its near impossible to get someone on the phone. I received one phone call back but was at work. I have called since and left messages and never received any further communication. I intentionally waited several weeks to give them time to make it right as I know theyre busy, and its the holiday season, but that hasnt happened. Take your vehicle to mechanics with transparency and integrity, which isnt gearheads. Photos include the random piece on my tie rod and several once it was taken off.

Ms. Harsh called us out of the blue looking for a price for outer tie rods. She had the car at another shop to get a FREE alignment. That shop told her she needed outer tie rods before they could do the free alignment, but their price was ridiculously high. We told her that's what those shops do. They offer free alignments then overcharge customers on the parts to compensate for the free alignment. I told her if all she needed was the tie rods replaced that our price would include us aligning her vehicle. She told me our price was less money than the parts alone from the other shop. She brought her car in and specifically declined the alignment. We reiterated that it would be much easier if we just did the alignment here but she didn't want to pay for an alignment, she wanted to take her car back to the other shop to get her "free" alignment. Once we went to work on it, we found the tie rods and nuts were heavily rusted in place and needed aggressive heating and lubricant to even get them loose. We left her a message during the process because we were going to inform her of the situation, but she never returned our call. As it was late in the day, our options were to leave the car disassembled over the weekend (she had already told us she needed her car back asap), order parts, that would not show up before the end of the day or just simply make up the jam nut that we could use to lock the tie rod. We made up a jam nut that we could use to lock the tire rods and did not charge her for it. We told her the car would need an alignment immediately and that we could still do it but she still didn't want to pay for it. Someone from the other shop called us just after 5pm that Friday evening and said “they didn't have a wrench that would fit the tie rod jam nut” which is ridiculous. The other shop was obviously not willing to put a wrench on the nut and adjust the part. We believe, the other shop, was not happy that they didn't get the extra money from her and had to align it for FREE and made the process as difficult as possible. She had called us just before we were closing that evening. We told her we have no problem aligning her vehicle and to bring it back, we'll do it. She said she would see what she could work out. She had left us a message over the weekend, we called her back 11/20 at 12:16pm. We never heard back from her. Once again, letting her know we have no problem aligning it, bring it back to us, but we never heard back from her. Yes, we had to make a jam nut to put the car back together. She was not going to pay for any more new parts. She was not going to wait until parts could be ordered. She had to have her car back and she refused to spend any more money even though, with the reasonable price for an alignment, that when coupled with the tie rods was still LESS than the other shops tie rods only. We try to lead customers down the path of the simplest, fastest, and most economical repairs but Ms. Harsh did not understand that nobody does a free alignment without expecting to charge for something else. She had a FREE alignment coming to her and she wanted to use it no matter what. The other shop obviously was not happy about having to do a free alignment and made this process as difficult as possible for her and us. Was the jam nut made pretty and beautiful? No, but it was fully functional and easily locked the tie rod in place and safe, not to mention the other shop could have easily put a wrench on it and done an alignment.
