WCV has been home to Mom and Dad for about 5 years. Most important to me is the fact they are safe. They are surrounded by friends. The are as busy as they elect to be. They have never had negative words regarding their decision to live here. I believe they are treasured by neighbors and staff. What more could I ask for?

My husband Chris and I moved into a cottage in The Colony at Worthington Christian Village in 2007. Some of the happiest years of our married life were spent there. The office staff always aimed to please and the maintenance crew was outstanding. Planned activities kept us as busy as we wanted to be and provided a wonderful way to socialize with friends and neighbors. I would still be there if I hadn’t lost my love in 2013, causing me to realize it made sense to move near one of my children who were all more than 600 miles away. I left in 2014 and now, going on 7 years later, I miss Worthington Christian Village and treasure memories of my time there.

Both my folks have been here for a few years now and their feedback has been very good. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. I have ate there a few times with my parents and the food has always been tasty. The servers are very polite and friendly. Twice we have experienced emergency situations and the response was immediate, which makes me sleep well knowing they are in good hands! There are newer facilities in the area which you pay for in higher monthly fees. None of my siblings nor I would permit anyone to look after our parents if we didn’t feel comfortable with them...Period

A few issues.... To start the health care center is being run by a lying, deceitful, heartless person who doesnt seem to care about the employees or residents. Allows the staff to run super short (3 STNAS a shift or 1 and a nurse) and cliques are running it. It's being run by bullying and intimidation, there is a huge difference between a leader and a boss. Now when an employee of 20 years fell sick with stage 4 cancer and was on short term leave and died during the leave and not a soul showed up for their funeral or showing in my opinion thats not very Christian like. Someone who put 40 hours a week into your company for 20 years and dies while on leave and no one can show some support for the family after 20 years some where esp at a non corporate business you are like family and you know everyone and no one showed their face. But the DON the direct boss of the employee is saying they were there when in fact they were not. This is bothersome in the fact you dont seem to care about your employees at all esp your long term employees, the people that helped you get where you are today. They have Christian in their name but that's about as far as it goes anymore. The beliefs and values they used to hold dont hold true anymore. I am not a disgruntled employee or ex employee, my experience at the village was when it was a true village and they cared for their employees and residents it saddens me to see it go down hill and lose the values it was built on. But when placing your loved one remember to put into perspective how the employees are treated because if they are not happy can they honestly be giving the best care and love to your loved one.
