I had a terrible experience at this school. Micro-aggressions, threatening to expel students for being gay, ignorant teachers who were not qualified nor certified to be teaching the subjects that they were teaching, etc. I'd recommend sending your children elsewhere. Anywhere else.

I visited the school and also experienced abusive behavior by the school's leadership.  There appears to be a strong spirit of resentful self-righteousness.  Christians'  are commanded to love their neighbors as they love themselves. I found the schools' leadership to be unrepentantly abusive. It took me some time to recover from the encounter.  I understand why unbelievers think Christians are evil.... If the only experience they have with Christians is with these hateful people.

This school is directed by a bully and owrvert by the name of Todd Marrah. He harasses students, makes sexual innuendo with them, accosts married women who are former students for sex. He insults the poorer students and wasted money buying the former AOL building knowing full well that the city of Upper Arlington had a clause that there were to be zero schools in that building. He purchased it with donated funds anyway then began a series of lawsuits to get his way. He now has incurred a massive tax debt for Tree of Life Christian schools.

I would not recommend. While I was a student there I faced many racialized microagressions and trauma because I am Black. I was told I was aggressive when I wasn't. I was locked in a storage closet for asking relevant questions about biblical teachings. I was chastised for my body. Made to explain what the N-word meant. Often confused with another Black student which became a joke for the teacher. And the list goes on.

It makes me sad reading previous reviews written by people who were hurt by this school. Tree of Life was a phenomenal school. I graduated in 2015 and I attended since grade school. It's a small school with so many opportunities for students to grow in community and fellowship with others and knowledge of Christ. The teachers had always been intentional whether I was struggling with grades, life, faith, etc. This school helped exemplify Jesus in the best way they could and really pointed everything back to Him. Great academics, rigorous curriculum that prepared me well for the college classroom and set me up well for a further education.
