November 16, 2022 (writing this is long overdue) Dr Girish Hiremath (and staff!), On September 25, 2013, you performed a Right L4/L5 (minimally invasive) facetectomy transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion on yours truly. I had three previous laminectomy procedures by others (well respected, board certified neurosurgeons) over a span of 29 years at the L4/L5 level with little to no relief for horrible back and sciatica pain and gradually losing control of my left leg. My gratitude for a great result would be understated for me to just say " thanks doctor, the procedure worked!" The last nine years have been the best of my adult life. I am careful, ofcourse, with lifting, but enjoy daily walks and moderate physical exercise. Your approach, bedside manor, confidence and, in general, the calming affect you had for a 67 year old man with three previously unsuccessful back surgeries was amazing. You really gave me hope for the best (after reviewing detailed medical history, xrays and MRI), before the procedure, when you made sincere and deliberate eye contact and said, "I really think I can help you". AND, you certainly did! Thank you, over and over!

Dr. Hiremath is a highly skilled and caring brain surgeon. He removed my husband's brain cancer in 2017. He did a great job explaining the surgery, updating us during the surgery (it took 6 or 7 hours), and explaining things afterwards. My husband fully recovered from the surgery with almost no deficits (despite the tumor being near his speech center). The only deficit he had was that he was missing vision in the top corner of one eye. It didn't affect him. The surgery really could not have gone better.

After an auto accident I was continuously having hip, leg and lower back pain. I kept bandaging it with cortisone shots for months until I got to the point I couldn't walk. I went to Riverside ER where I met Dr Hiremath. After them running some tests I was told I had a slipped disc in my back pinching a nerve that was causing my excruciating lower back pain, sciatica, and hip pain. It was the weekend, so i was scheduled for surgery on Monday. I knew nothing about Dr Hiremath because my surgery was at a point of an emergency since I couldn't walk. I can't say enough about how impressed I have been with this doctor, his warm bedside manners, and his appreciated abilities as a great surgeon. He is a Dr that truly cares about his patients. His entire staff have been awesome at my follow up appointments. Dr Hiremath is very thorough with his diagnosis. I wouldn't trust anyone else other than him if I ever need another back surgery. He is top notch! My back surgery was a success. I'm 3 months post op and 110% better than I was when I went to the ER. I would recommend him to anyone considering back surgery. Mechelle L
