For a high-end hotel, the walls are way too thin and the windows are incapable of keeping sound out. I used earplugs and a sound machine on full blast and still couldnt sleep. And I stay at a lot of hotels - never experienced one this loud inside the room. Not Nashville, Vegas, New Orleans, even Times Square.
I was on the 10th floor - which tends to be quieter.but not in this case. The sound of cars from the freeway - it sounded like they were filming fast and the furious right outside. Then, there was some sort of speed bump or something that people were driving over every 5-10 minutes. The double thump sound was penetrating. Maybe lower floors, or the back of the hotel away fr the street/highway would be better. But the front desk said this was a common complaint.
There are several other nice hotels in the area. Not as trendy, but quieter and where you can actually sleep.
Service was great and the gym was nice, but save your money, or at least stay in the back half.
They gave me a few Bonvoy points - but Id have paid twice as much to actually get some sleep!
This hotel is a definite no go for me u less they can fix the sound issues - which seems impossible.
