    Better have your receipt or be sure to use a card to track your purchases. I purchased several items last week. Couldnt use one of the switches. I went to exchange it and was advised I couldnt exchange without a receipt. I wasnt looking for a credit or refund. Just exchanging a $22 switch for something cheaper. Customer service rep and manager were both rude. I was advised of a bogus policy that corporate later refuted. After spending thousands (more like tens of thousands) with Lowes over the years Ill be taking my business elsewhere. There should be a threshold for this type of policy. A simple exchange with such a low $$ amount shouldnt be difficult.

    It had been quite some time since I last visited Lowe's home improvement store. On Thursday evening, I went there to purchase some items I was unsure they carried. As I walked down each aisle examining the merchandise, I found most staff members to be quite helpful. However, there was one younger female employee in a management position who caught my attention in a very unsettling way. As I was placing items back on the shelves that I had decided against purchasing, I noticed this manager lingering at the end of a couple of aisles I had passed through. Had I realized her intentions at that moment, I would have simply abandoned my cart in the aisle and exited the store. Instead, I approached her politely asking "Pardon me, is there something I can help you with?" Her response was completely unprofessional and accusatory. She became visibly agitated, throwing her arms down and placing her hands on her hips assertively. She stated firmly "We're not going to do this tonight" and repeatedly said "I'm not doing this with you tonight" despite my attempts to understand what she was referring to. It quickly became clear she had mistaken me for someone else entirely when she accused me of shoplifting. I was utterly baffled and tried to reason with her calmly, asking questions like "What are you talking about?" However, she raised her voice louder, aggressively claiming she had caught me on camera shoplifting, which was an outright falsehood. She then bizarrely stated "I know who you are" and alleged we had previous confrontations and that she had followed me to my car on another occasion - something I knew to be completely untrue as I had never encountered this employee before. In an attempt to de-escalate the situation, I requested to view any supposed security footage of me stealing, but she denied this reasonable request. I even offered to allow her to inspect my purse contents, but she just repeated "I'm not doing this with you tonight." By this point, I was highly disturbed by the harassment, embarrassment, and defamation this manager was causing as she loudly and unprofessionally discussed baseless allegations against me in the presence of other customers and staff as I checked out. Though I maintained composure, I actually felt like I wanted to retaliate physically against this manager for her concerning behavior and blatant lies about me. Overall, it was an unsettling and unacceptable experience being falsely accused of theft by an irrational manager who clearly struggled with baroque delusions about my identity. Her conduct was appalling.
