I called your customer service about energy program. I talked to Heather who couldn't been any nicer. She took her time to help me and was very pleasant. I read these negative reviews and wonder who they talk to they must not have talked to Heather cause hands down she's a 5 star. She is a great employee you should be proud of.

So I never make reviews, and I know this isn't going to get seen by this company anyway, but my wife called Dominion Energy to set up our gas for our new home. They then turned off our service without any notice. They then told us that we canceled our service. They said that the billing address wasn't even the same as the service address. They misspelled my wife's name and essentially blamed us for not having heat. We had to spend a week without heat delay the installation of our carpet. I respect the professionalism of the company's customers representatives; however, I am disappointed in their ability to provide service. I don't think it's right to make a mistake and then make your customer pay for it as a result. I don't even have a choice for gas providers in my area. I just wanted to post this to warn other if they have an option of using Dominion Energy to avoid them. I would like to see improvements on how they handle transfer between one customers to another. I also think that emergency service should be more available to customers who are paid up and not delinquent with service. I appreciate the people I spoke with and hope that the company can expand on their services so they customer representatives can provide more assistance than what they are limited to right now.

I was charged the full base fee $35.43, not prorated, because our billing cycle finished on the 24th of August, and not on the 31st of August. So, basically I was charged a base fee of $35.43 for the month of July 23rd-Aug 24th, and another $35.43 for August 24th-Aug 31st. What adds to my frustration is that during this time, we didn't use gas, so we were paying the base fee for two months and not using gas at all. But I'm okay with paying a base fee, thats not the issue. My problem is it not being prorated. My landlords will also have to pay a base fee when they pick up the service from the 31st of August. That feels like a really underhanded way of getting more money out of people. The policy should be changed to be prorated. I spent over an hour and a half on the phone with representatives before we even realized what the charges were from and why the two months were the same. The staff should be trained better. Over all, a very frustrating situation.
