Avoid at all costs. I had a terrible experience with this firm. I chose them because Jeff Fish is from my hometown and I needed some probate help after my mother passed away. I went in for an hour consultation. For 50 of those 60 minutes, we talked about people we knew from high school. During the last 10 minutes, Mr Fish told me all I needed to do to start the probate process was go to a certain website and download the probate forms listed there. The initial consultation cost me $275. When I got home and looked at the website he told me about, I realized there were so many forms and I didn't know what to do. I emailed back and asked if I needed to complete all the forms, or only some. His paralegal emailed me the exact list of which forms I actually needed, and that cost me an additional $187. I emailed Mr. Fish back, saying that I would have expected more precise instruction during our actual consultation. He did agree to write off the additional charge. Later, I found a real probate attorney who told me she was shocked any firm would treat a customer that way. She said probate is confusing and specialized and no one should attempt it on their own. Bottom line, this firm charged me almost $500 and I was no closer to knowing what to do after my time with them than before.

Buck & Fish was very helpful and professional during the probate of my father's estate. The staff were prompt with answers to my questions every stage of the process. I would recommend their services to friends and family who need legal help.
