Filling fell out less than six hours after. Had the worlds rudest dentist and hygenist- not sure why the hygenist was in there considering I wasn't there for a cleaning. The dentist was working on at minimum five different people at the same time. Guy next to me was snoring loudly seeing as he had been waiting for over an hour too. They numbed me and then left for over an hour. In that hour I was beginning to get feeling back behind my teeth on the roof of my mouth but my front gums were still fine. I was getting frustrated after an hour, I got up and asked where the bathroom was, wasn't allowed to use the bathroom (Any medical facility is required to have a bathroom available for their patients, dental included), I stopped the hygienist and said "Hey, it's been an hour and forty five minutes since my appointment started, I have been sitting here with numbing stuff in my mouth for an hour, I'm starting to get feeling back, should I come back another day when you have time?" and she said "The dentist will be in here in a second, he can get you another shot" I responded with "I wasn't too excited about the first one... Your front desk asked me if 2:00 worked for me, did it not work for you guys? I have work at 4:30 and I really didn't figure one filling would take two and a half hours (3:46 by the time I got ahold of anybody, they still hadn't started my filling at that point)." So finally the dentist comes in, asks what the problem is, I tell him "I had an appointment at 2:00 today, I already told you guys I'm afraid of needles and your response is to stick me with one and let it run its course so you can stick me again, rinse and repeat until you close at 5:00? This whole process has been so unprofessional. Y'all even lost my mouth guard. When I called about it your receptionist said 'oh i don't know nothing about that, you'll get it when you see your dentist.' I don't see it. Your dental assistant held my hand at least while you sat there and told me that needles in the mouth aren't that bad and to stop crying because i'm scaring your other patients yet you got somebody screaming in the room next to me." he tells me "Your insurance still pays us the same as it did 25 years ago (I have medicaid because I make less than what ohio considers to be poverish, I couch hop and sleep in my car most of the time. I really don't want to hear a dentist of all things tell me he doesn't make enough money to treat me the way he would if my insurance were to pay him to care more) so I don't get paid enough to work on just you. you know you don't have to be here" (which is true) to which I replied with "You already stuck me with a needle and made me sit here for an hour and a half. I need my teeth fixed." He has me lay down and I say "I can still feel everything from my teeth, back to the roof of my mouth" and he says "No you can't." (Yes, I could) then as he is turning the drill on he says "You know, I wouldn't talk to my dentist like that."
Seems a lot more like a thinly veiled threat now that my teeth are ruined than it did while I was sitting in the chair.
He drills up directly through the bottom middle of my tooth (last time, same tooth on the opposite side they just drilled into the cavity on the back of it and it's been six years, it's still in tact and well). My filling has now fallen out, six hours later. I have not one but now two unfilled holes in my teeth and whatever plastic this is chipping off into my mouth.
One star because I have no choice but also because the assistant was nice. He held my hand while the dentist degraded me and he walked me through the entire process of what he was doing. That guy needs a raise whereas the dentist needs his license taken away. Everything aside from that man was straight out of a Final Destination movie.
