Friendly Christian folks & a Bible-based message/sermon given. I felt welcomed here as soon as I walked in the door.

I attended this Church when I was in Early Middle School to High School. When I was younger I was a very shy girl, and would follow my older sister everywhere, even to the High School Sunday service. Even though I was too young to be there, Craig and Scott the 2 youth pastors welcomed me with open arms and allowed me to stay. Shortly after I went to high school they both had left. The new Youth Pastor on the other hand was not very welcoming. He would ignore you if you werent one of the popular kids. The kids all went to school together whether public or home schooled, if you didnt attend any of those with them they shunned you. I felt very Isolated while here, I tried to joint the Youth Band but was told No, I tried to go to there summer hangouts at the park but was ignored and left out of stuff. The only time anyone would acknowledge me was when I would bring my friends with me to the events. My best friend at the time turned against me once she started hanging out with these Kids. I left the church after that and turned from God. A few years later I went back to this church to attend a family members funeral. I had brought my Boyfriend (now Husband) with me. The youth pastor kept harassing my husband the whole time at the Dinner after the funeral. He never acknowledged me but wanted to bug my husband. Needless to say this church has a lot to be desired and if their goal is to bring people to Jesus they did a horrible job of it. It wasnt until I had my son that I found my way back to God, and realized you donnt need a church to have a relationship with him. There are so many different ways to hear Gods message now.

Hey Jamie! Thanks for posting a review. Sorry you felt that way all those years ago. Thankful that God never gave up on you and you are connected with Him. Imperfect humans will always fall short of His perfect love. God bless you in your new season of learning more of God's love for you.
