I love living here. But I had questions about the terms of my lease and apparently they dont like to answer emails to their [email protected] address. This kind of customer service is pretty poor. Hence the 1 star. I shouldnt have to chase you to do your jobs when I pay as much as I do

I lived in Lewis Manor operates by Barbara and she ran things very well! By far the best property managed building I lived in in Cleveland

Capital Properties Management is the kind of landlord that will charge you $25 for not cleaning a stove that they told you they were going to replace after you moved out. In general, they're unresponsive, unconcerned jerks. Don't even think about getting a different job and having to move and break your lease, they'll be delighted not to sympathize and to screw you over. Faceless corporate management that doesn't care about you -- look elsewhere.

Lived there for 2.5 years. The beginning was okay, and then it just went downhill. First, they took away guest parking and over sold the parking lot.  I had a drip in my shower that maintenance said would be too hard to fix, so it dripped for the last 6 months I was there. I didn't pay for water, so that was on them. Also, the elevator was broken for months last winter. The final straw that made me move was the front door was broken and anyone could simply walk in. I moved out before it was fixed, so there's no telling how long it took or if it was ever fixed. Then, when I moved out they slapped me with a bunch of BS fees. If you live there, READ YOUR LEASE CAREFULLY. If you're thinking about moving here, there are plenty of apartments in the area. I'm giving it 1 star because the rent  was cheap (although it was raised every year) and the maintenance staff was really nice.

Only positive is that the maintenance guys were sweet. But none of this can make up for the extremely unpleasant, rude, and incompetent leasing office. During the three year lease I had, the amount of time the staff changed was ridiculous, but Im sure it also directly showed that something about the politics of the Office was not going well. During the entire three years of our stay, there was a water damage spot on our ceiling from the air conditioning. We called maintenance. Maintenance said the office would not allow them to fix it because it would be too costly. So, we sat in our apartment with a growing water stain on our ceiling for years. Outrageous. And definitely not healthy as its a breeding ground for mold. Additionally, the leasing office raises rent every year. Every single year. It isnt worth it. Beware! The perhaps worst part of the incompetence comes whenever you have to deal with anyone at the leasing office. Whenever I spoke to anyone there, they spoke to me like I was an unruly child with no real world experience. The woman tried to tell me that she was refusing to give 24-hour notice before entering our apartment to show it to potential renters. The Ohio revised code REQUIRES 24-hour notice. This woman was basically threatening to barge into my home whenever she wanted. It wasnt until I threatened legal action and sent an email to the owner of the company that she finally agreed to give 24 hour notice. Theyre taking advantage of people who perhaps dont know their rights. Lastly, I moved out over a month ago. Almost 5 weeks ago. I have not received my security deposit back. Again, Ohio revised code requires my security deposit be returned in 30 days. When we spoke to the leasing office, they again thought they were above the law and spoke to us like we were children. This place is not worth the money, the headache, the mold and wet spots on the ceiling.
