The bottom line here is my comfort level. How comfortable do I feel about trying to contact an office whose phone is always busy. How comfortable am I calling an office who when I do get through Im put on hold for an exorbitant amount of time. How comfortable do I feel, when I go to an appointment and get there at 12:30 for a 12:45 appointment. I do not even get acknowledged until 1:30 and do not have anybody come in until 2:15 telling me, itll be a little while. Well, it was already a little while. It was a two and a half hour, little while. Now if this is the modus operandi of the front of the house , how does that affect the operating room . That is not a road. I am willing to go down any longer. I have given these people the most amount of opportunity to show me theyre not a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off, and every single time they proved to me that they actually are those people. So Im done here I have filed a complaint with their ombudsmans office at the Cleveland Clinic. I may or may not keep my primary physician at the Cleveland clinic. That that shall be determined later.

This was one of the worse experiences with a provider as a patient that I have ever had. I was referred to Dr Ricchetti by his colleague in another state since I have a very unusual diagnosis. I was told that I was going to see Dr Ricchetti, an expert in his field, would be the next best step, and that at the Cleveland Clinic my case would be reviewed by Dr Ricchetti, but also discussed with other specialties and experts in their fields to provide a more comprehensive review of my case. I was told that this visit would be a good way of determining the next steps in my care, so I traveled to another state to see Dr Ricchetti (who does not take my insurance, so I had to pay out of pocket) for his expert opinion. Dr Ricchetti had not reviewed my documents or case at all, he did not review any images or consult any of his peers to give me the all around review and discussion of my issue that I was promised, and he did not seem to have any other response to my situation other than "this is a very unusual case." He dismissed my concerns about chronic pain (I have lived with this increasing pain for over 15 years, so any pain under a 6/10 does not show outwardly on my face anymore) and told me that he would not recommend any interventions for me, just that I take over the counter pain killers and just live with it. He seemed dismissive of my concerns about how this issue greatly impacts and limits my life and could not give me any information that was even remotely useful on what can be done or how to move forward. He just ordered more tests and said we would regroup to discuss after they have completed it. I have had my appointment with him scheduled for 6 months and would have gladly come to the appointment with these tests completed if I had been told. He seemed to be surprised when I tried to give him more images and medical records to review, and never really gave straight answers to the questions I asked. It felt like a normal first visit to a orthopedic provider for a brand new issue, rather than a referral for a very complex and rare issue that has been plaguing me for over 15 years and that HE WAS NOTIFIED OF WELL IN ADVANCE AND AGREED TO SEE ME ABOUT. Honestly, this entire thing felt like a large scam to con me out of thousands of dollars. I would not recommend Dr Ricchetti to anyone for care, as he does not seem interested in helping a patient (who was referred by a colleague and traveled from out of state to see him) and only seemed interested in lining his pockets, then moving onto the next person to con. He did not even trying to give adequate care, explanations, or even spend a small amount of time trying to research or investigate a patient's case by contacting other specialties or colleagues or opinions or discussion. Just telling me to "live with it" is dismissive, unprofessional and not at all what I would expect from a provider of his caliber or reputation. I would give 0 stars if I could. Do no go to Dr Ricchetti for anything, especially if you have a rare diagnosis or case, as all you will get is a large bill and absolutely no new information or assistance.
