MODERN DAY CHIMNEY SERVICE

We called several places to have our chimney and fireplace inspected before we moved into our new home. Bob was the only one who called back and scheduled an inspection within 3 days. While he was here he noticed some serious cracks in our chimney. We were glad that he came and did the inspection. While scheduling was an issue, due to so many delays in scheduling on his part, he had issues getting the gas logs to work. After 6 hours, he ended up taking the remote with him. While trying to get him to come back, he said his brakes needed fixing so he couldn't come back until noon. Here we are at almost 4 pm on Sunday evening and still no remote, along with the gas logs that don't work. I've wasted a week waiting for the install, our weekends over and now the expensive gas logs don't work.

Bob and his team were able to come to my home and diagnose an issue that I had been having with my chimney/roof for over 3 years. I had repairs done to multiple things prior to Bob, and Bob took his time to make sure he knew the extent of the problem before he began making costly repairs. Robert and Bob of Modern Day Chimney Service really are top-tier gentlemen providing a much needed service to those of us in Cleveland. I'd initially had them over for an inspection in which they found that there was erosion to part of the lining of my chimney and that using my fireplace to burn wood was out of the question for safety reasons. While initially crestfallen, Robert and Bob took the time to explain why this was so important to know and also what other options were available to me. They ended up installing a set of ventless logs that have been keeping my house quite toasty and the ambiance alone was worth the price. Both Bobs were very personal, professional and nice. After installing our fireplace, he made sure we knew how to turn it on and turn it off and even left us a hand full of embers. We are very happy and excited about this purchase made by our landlord. These ventless logs will undoubtedly save us hundreds on our gas bill.
