I believe the Nora Center is a joke, they are just trying to pull in as much money as they can. My ex boyfriend resides in their sober house for men, which is only a street away from me. He has been their well over a year now, and he's openly drinking and using. He also carries a firearm....he shows up around my house daily, all drunk & messed up, and continues to threaten and scare me. I have literally walked over to the house where the men live numerous times, pleading with their house monitor to do something about this, and then he will pop up next day or so, all drunk and messed up, threatening me cuz I've spoke to the house monitor several times. Now I have done everything in my power, I call police, make reports, and still no help. In desperation I called the main office at Nora Center pleading with them to do something. The young lady I spoke to was very hateful, she acted as if I was bothering her. When I explained the situation, she checked with the house supervisor, and they both told me the same thing..... call the police, which I explained to them I have done that (several times). They simply told me oh well, there's nothing they can do.... SERIOUSLY??? They continue to let this man live there, even though he was supposed to leave there January 1st. And he also continues to carry a firearm, drink and use as much as he wants, not to mention he terrorizes me, and Nora Center does nothing about it, despite my constant pleas with them I also will be getting in touch with my Councilmen, because it's clear to see that the Nora Center is only concerned about getting as much funding as possible, and that is truly sad
