Bank teller Chelsea said that Pickaway county banking does not cash their own banks checks. I've never been to a bank that doesn't honor checks from an account at their bank. Very rude as well.

On June 2, 2023 at 4:55 I arrived at the drivethru window of the Savings Bank on Ety Rd. in Lancaster. The sign said closed, so I drove around to the lobby side to go inside. The tellers and bank personnel were all literally running outside of the side of the building jumping into their cars. I said it is not 5:00 O'clock. She said, "yes it is." Now I know it is NOT 5:00 because Of the radio. Now, the REAL question is this, IF you close at 5:00 O'clock, why are personnel from the bank leaving and getting into their cars at 5:00 O'clock. About that time another car pulled up a lady got out and headed to the front door and I said to her they are closed. She said," well they gave me too much money and I am trying to return it." They are now closed on Saturday, so that means checks and money has to be held to Monday. IF they are trying to force us into online banking, there are certainly banks on line that pay more interest on saving accounts (their .045 versus 4.5) They put untrained tellers at the widows that make so many mistakes that you are a nervous wreck (I still have a passbook with a 2,000 error in the entry) I was a customer of the Standing Stone from the start up and stayed with Savings Bank when they bought Standing Stone, and I can truthfully say that IF they plan to retain their customers they better train better, and NOT close before closing time.
