Patrick Gunning bought a property next door to mine. It was an old church that was built in 1923 and was bought by a private resident in 1970s and was occupied by that resident until he passed away. Patrick hired Ohio Dismantle to demolish the building. Ohio Dismantle was supposed to notify the city when they started demolition and they never did. They took no precautions on controlling dust so our house among others were covered in construction dust. The building being demolished was built in 1923 so who knows what kind of hazards were in that dust. Because of the dust, we had to stay somewhere else because we were getting headaches. Then they started using a wrecking ball to knock down the foundation of the building. The vibration from the wrecking ball caused cracks to form in our walls. We met with Duke Ball, the foreman at Ohio Dismantle about the dust, cracks in our walls and not putting any fencing around the jobsite and he lied right to our faces about what precautions they have taken and blew off our concerns. At the end of the meeting Duke called Patrick to notify him of our concerns. Patrick suggested sending pictures of the damage to our walls to their insurance company. I sent the pictures of the damage to Duke but I have heard nothing (this was over a month ago). We notified the city of Cincinnati about the damage to our property. The city asked Ohio Dismantle to use a jackhammer which created much less vibration and no further damage but what about the damage that has already occurred? What is going on with our foundation to cause the cracks? For the last month the jobsite has been left with a big hole with broken concrete and a pool of water. There is still no fencing. This morning there was a mudslide and part of our fence bordering the property and our walkway slide in to the hole. I have called Patrick Gunning multiple times without a response.
