My experience was not ALL bad, but mostly. I explained to my team that I was told the maximum stay would be 6 weeks when I did my assessment, and that was what I planned on. They fought me on it for weeks and told me that they needed me to stay much longer in order to reach a weight range (which was a weight I told them based on when I was binge eating) but they didn't really listen to me. After weeks of physical discomfort, and pain from the meal increases, they ultimately kicked me out at the original 6 week mark because they told me I wasn't gaining weight fast enough for their requirements even though I was doing everything they asked of me, and what I was capable of doing given the physical pain. They didn't work with me much, or compromise at all. Every week i'd feel a lot of encouragment and recognition of my mental progress from my peers and the other Pro-T's, but whenever I had team rounds each week, they would basically tell me I wasn't doing good enough and never leveled me up the entirety of the time I was there. I've left this place with a lower self-esteem, and overall feeling defeated and failed, and now having to find my own outpatient team with no help from them whatsoever. I am grateful for the family therapy I received while there, and the amazing friends I made from the other peers, but overall, this place was a waste of time.

I wrote a negative review originally, and I still think they need to work on communicating with people with autism, but thanks to the professionals there I celebrate my one year anniversary of recovery tomorrow! All because they gave me a fresh start.

They are a bunch of liars. They denied me treatment at this location because Ive been there too much. They said I can go to one of their other locations for PHP in Chicago or Maryland, but I dont have a way to get to either of those places!!! And how are those ERC locations better or different? They are effing liars. The last time I was there they said if I needed to come back then I could. Apparently not. What kind of treatment center denies care when someone needs help?! So what it takes several times?? It takes several times in treatment for most people with eating disorders!!!!
