Legacy is a place where you can go to get mind, body, and soul healing! As with all places there is room for improvement. My favorite thing about this place is the family the clients create! Without my family unit I do not think I would have been as successful as I have been in this program. Camp Sobe well is one of the biggest highlights of this place! They work with the physical to provide a well rounded treatment plan to help aide in your steps to recovery. Another great highlight is the EMDR sessions provided here at Legacy. Through EMDR I was able to process some of my untouched trauma. The lead facilitator, Stacie, really helped push me and challenge me in my growth! She was truly the best facilitator and I am so thankful to have crossed her path! In the end recovery is what you make it but, I believe I was able to overcome so much while I was here with the assistance of my wonderful case manager Jacob, therapist Laura, lead group facilitator Stacie, and my favorite BHTs Sarah, Chloe, Katie, Sophie, Evalyn, Kelsey, and Stacey! I will truly miss my Legacy family!

Most of what they advertise on their website is completely false advertising as it doesnt apply to their Cincinnati, OH location. The houses are not mansions or what I would consider luxurious. Theres not a private chef, the food provided at lunch is from an outside caterer and the food is comparable to what one might feed their dog. They say they take you on an outing every Sunday but for 3 weeks we had a cookout at our house and they didnt take us anywhere. You submit grocery requests once a week and they usually do not get anything you write down. I came for medication management and they failed to get my medications in a timely manner when I first arrived and if you submit a refill request it sometimes takes 2 or 3 times of submitting them for the staff to actually fulfill the request. Some of the groups were beneficial and some were not but I tried to keep an open mind- they are what you make them. EMDR therapy was amazing as was the SoBe program where you meet with a chiropractor and massage therapist to develop a solid plan and treatment. The staff were always friendly and supportive but you can definitely tell that the program is poorly managed. My therapist and the clinical director were often not on the same page. Christian (residential shift supervisor) is beyond amazing and truly goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable and his heart is in it. Christian really advocates for the clients and helped me through a lot. This program has a lot of potential but because of all the hiccups it caused unnecessary stress in my life. I would consider it semi neglectful in some aspects. I was able to gain a lot of support from the people I met while in groups and at the house. Through their support I was able to grow stronger.

As I leave Legacy today, after completing my program, I look forward to a new chapter in my life. I am thankful for the staff, huge shout outs to Jess (alumni director) Emily (case worker) and several Techs who always let me know they were here to support me -Charlie, Miss Staci, Miss Kari, Ericka, Shantay, and Sharron. Thank you for everything! The program is very structured And makes you feel safe. The groups ran by the facilitators always involved Each of us providing us tools to help each of us become successful. With that being said, I do feel that there are areas for improvement. This is a new facility and I believe any feedback is good feedback to help grow.. I have read some of the other reviews and I would also agree that the information provided to us over the phone and the picture sent to us in regards to the Facility were a bit misleading. The amenities that we are informed would be provided to us are not completely the case. Housing is a completely different entity, and that information is not provided to us. Pictures of the Florida facility were sent to us and led you to believe this is the facility you would be housed. This is not the case.. I will say, during my stay there, improvements were slowly being made painting of some walls TVs being installed each of the bedrooms. One other thing that I believe has a room for improvement also is policies and procedures that are provided to the clients need to be updated with the correct information so they are not misleading and providing incorrect information to client who are struggling , ie- Requirements of how many meetings you need to do A week of proper schedule of meetings should also be made. For meetings, they should be confirmed that they are going to be having them facilitated. There were several times where we drove to these locations and no one was there and we had to come back. All in all my experience with Legacy was great.
