" The Sassy Cat building was originally built as a harness shop in 1846. Peters Bakery occupied the building from 1946 to 1964. The Chagrin Valley Womans Exchange (aka. The Sassy Cat) began in 1967 behind the Village Exchange under the direction of Marguerite Kelly. It soon moved to 88 North Main Street in 1968. The all-volunteer, non-profit consignment shop closed in 2006. During that period, they donated nearly $400,000 to area non-profit organizations."
