Emily, you are so sweet! We absolutely loved working with you and your family and we left the wedding being reminded of why we do what we do. Your friends and family were so great to work with and it truly was a magical day. We wish you all the best!

Nick, we are so sorry to hear that you did not have the experience you expected on your wedding day. We have worked really hard to build a business and set up policies that still allow our couples to have a great time and be safe. We have reviewed your disappointments and a lot of the things you listed were a part of our package and policies. We give all our couples several opportunities to meet with us at open houses, walk thrus and a final meeting and unfortunately you did not come to any of those but your fiancé and her family did so all our communication was through them. We did not know the policies and packages were not being shared with you and your groomsmen so I apologize that our way of running a business is not a place that you’d want to have your wedding. We do have a policies sheet in the grooms cottage so we know it's being seen the day of the wedding. Unfortunately, since a lot of the points you made were inaccurate, we feel we need to clear some of those discrepancies. We open our doors at 9:00 AM and when clients need to start their day earlier, we do charge a fee, that information is in the welcome packet that we send out when our couples book. We never would charge an extra $250 for someone coming in 15 minutes before the doors open, if someone arrives early we are happy to open the doors for them. We did not shut your bar down during dinner, your caterer partially shut it down to help serve your guests during dinner and once food was served they were going to open it back up. This is not uncommon to do so guests can stay seated while dinner is served. We also did not close your bar down at 9:15, It was scheduled to close at 9:30 since we have a 5 hour serve time for alcohol. This information is in our welcome packet and also our policies page that we send out before the wedding. Since our point of contact was your Fiancé’s mom and your wife, that information was sent to them.  Your bar opened and began to serve drinks at 3:30 so we scheduled it to close at 9:30 PM. I know drugs were also an issue and you were disappointed you and your guests could not do drugs but it's a standard rule that places like ours do not allow drugs of any kind. I'm sorry again you were not able to have a good time, I feel a lot of this could have been avoided through attending any of the meetings, reading over the policies provided or just having a short conversation with one of the managers or owners on the wedding day.  There was a coordinator, head of catering, our 3 managers, and myself all there making your day run smoothly so a lot of our communication was with the parties that were on the contract.  Again we apologize that you felt the experience wasn’t what you expected.  We will definitely make sure moving forward to make sure all parties involved are aware of the policies.
