Taylor's Auto Sales

The Taylors are very nice people that I enjoyed meeting and talking to. I believed that they were good, honest people and felt good about buying a used car from a family owned business. I drove the car and it seemed fine. However, less than 2 weeks after I drove the car off the lot, the check engine light came on. It also seemed to be more "clunky" than when I test drove it. I scanned it and found that the engine code had to do with the "catalyst efficiency", which seemed odd since Taylor's had just replaced the catalytic converter. I told them about this. No response. I took the car to my mechanic, which is where I found out that my car has TWO catalytic converters, one of which is going bad. I also found out that the car needs tie rods, control arms, an alignment and struts. That's about $4500 worth of repairs on a car that the Taylors said that there was nothing mechanically wrong with...and $4500 worth of repairs that I can't afford to pay. I should have taken the car to my mechanic before I bought it instead of being so trusting. I was in a bind being without a car and desperately wanted this purchase to be a good one. It wasn't. Lesson learned. #sucker UPDATE (April 2023): As if the above wasn't bad enough, I got pulled over for the window tint that was on the windows when I bought the vehicle. The legal limit in OH for front windows is 50%. Mine is 18%. Awesome.
