Residence Inn by Marriott Canton

They charged me $318 on my credit card for a room that was already paid for!!!! Sad. And of course no compensation for their error. Just days of waiting for the $$$ to go back on my card. I would like to add to this after waiting 5 days to get my refunded my money back to my card, DURING THAT ENTIEE TIME THE GENERAL MANAGER DID NOT RETURN ONE OF MY PHONE CALLS!!! THEN WHEN I CALLED TO ASK FOR THE REGIONAL MANAGERS PHONE NUMBER, NO ONE COULD PROVIDE IT!!! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. THEY OBVIOUSLY DON'T CARE IF YOU'RE DISSATISFIED. OR THAT THEIR ERROE COST YOU MONEY IN OVERDRAFT FEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Noteworthy details: Dog friendly!!!

Checked in around midnight lady had an attitude, first room was freezing and heat didnt work, got moved to a new room and key didnt work on first try but didnt on second or third, Wi-Fi was good, tv had Bluetooth to use as speaker kept skipping, room was clean, free breakfast was pretty good so items was a day or two old, didnt try pool walls was getting redone but didnt really affect stay and was across the street from a church when checking out staff was nice still waiting for deposit to be returned has a kitchen as well

The hotel is pretty run down and outdated inside. Especially the hallways and the bathrooms inside the rooms. The staff was nice enough, but a little rough looking. The hotel is very close to the Belden area and access to route 77.

Everything in our room was great. Everyone were comfortable, they gave us fresh linen everyday and replenished towels when we needed. I gave them 4 stars because the breakfast was sub par. Our first day at breakfast I had a staff member to tell me she didn't have time to warm up potatoes. So she put them out cold and told my wife to put them in the microwave. The eggs were over cooked and they couldn't get replenished until being empty. The pool was told to be working until we got there and management put up a closed and under maintenance sign. All and all besides those 2 amenities we had a good stay but honestly I'd probably stay somewhere else next time. My kids look forward to a pool and breakfast that doesn't get cooked in a microwave.
