I've always held Impullitti Landscaping Inc. in high regard as the apex of high-end landscape design and maintenance in Northeast Ohio. Their reputation for magnificent work, albeit at a premium price, was well-deserved. However, my recent experience compels me to share my profound disappointment, especially after their acquisition by a private equity firm. For those familiar with the transformation of service quality post such acquisitions, brace yourselves. The shift from a customer-centric approach to a commoditized mindset is palpable. This is a firm that has painstakingly built its business and reputation on quality work and customer satisfaction. Regrettably, that ethos seems to be diminishing. When I reached out for a consultation, the interaction was disheartening. There was a conspicuous lack of interest in understanding and addressing my specific landscaping needs. Instead, the focus seemed to be on upselling services that were irrelevant to my requirements. This approach not only felt impersonal but also dismissive of the unique vision I had for my property. What compounds this frustration is their response to cost inquiries. For a company boasting over three decades of experience, one would expect a certain degree of proficiency in providing at least a ballpark estimate. To hear "I have no idea" in response is not only unhelpful but also raises questions about their competence and customer service ethos. While I do not doubt the continued excellence in their actual landscaping work, the customer experience has taken a significant hit. It pains me to say that the Impullitti Landscaping I knew and respected seems to be a thing of the past. For potential customers, be prepared to navigate a landscape where your value as a client might sadly be reduced to just another number in their books.
