I was visiting NE Ohio when COVID first started. My short scheduled visit lasted 91 days & I desperately needed a haircut and color. I am VERY, VERY picky about my short haircut & tried not to panic while I searched google for a master stylist who used Davines products. (I only use Davines products!). When I saw her website & the pictures of the Davines retail products she carried, I knew I found my new hairdresser for when I visited Ohio. We chatted on the phone and we clicked! I made my first appointment & was delighted with the entire experience! The bonus was all of the many compliments I received from family & friends! Denise is a master stylist who specializes in natural looking hair color. She is a single operator/owner who uses a medical grade purifier at all times. That first appointment was 3 1/2 years ago. I have since moved back to Ohio and have appointments with Denise every 4 weeks for the last 2 1/2 years. I look forward to our time together & the great cut and color I receive at each and every appointment. Denise does not disappoint!

I started coming back to Denise several years ago after trying to find someone closer to home for years that understands my hair. She really takes her time to listen to me, to know what works and what doesn't, and then comes up with a game plan that works for both me (timewise) and my hair. She really pays great attention and applies great detail to the styling and cutting process. I trust her completely when it comes to my hair. In addition, I love the product lines that she uses. Everything is so clean and natural. I'm so glad I came back to Denise. She is a true master at her craft.

I have been with Denise for almost 20 years. I have been with her that long because she is good. She is a professional in every sense of the word. She takes educational courses to keep up with the latest news within her profession. Her salon is always clean and neat. Denise is always respectful to and of her clients. she listens to how I want her to do my hair and we laugh because the next appointment I usually ask her to do it the way the way she did it the appointment before, however she never says "I told you so " Another reason for 20 years--She is an expert at coloring. Denise is a complete Hair Professional- she does it all. I recommend and endorse D'MAZ Lifestyle Salon. Run, don't walk there! I have been a client of Denise's for more years than either one of us is willing to admit. I have strayed once, maybe twice, in the early years, but always end up back in Denise's chair. Why? The physical salon is spotless, clean; she sanitizes after each client experience. She did this in the Before Times. Post-Covid, she is even more meticulous. Air quality is ensured with HEPA-filtered air. She is committed to recycling 95% of the salon's waste by recycling hair clippings, color tubes, plastics, broken hair appliances and more. It is a direct cost to her business to do this, but the level of conscientious commitment is remarkable. The Salon is located at I-271/ Chagrin. 3. The Experience- An appointment with Denise is relaxed and low stress. Her demeanor and humor are professional. She puts her clients at ease with thorough discussions of clients' expectations during, after, and between appointments. 4. The Education- I'm impressed by Denise's commitment to continuing education in her professions for styling, cutting, coloring, perming, and best business practices. The education goes beyond all that to include lifestyle, nutrition, and health benefit training, relaxation techniques, personal training, and reiki, among others. 5. The Products- Denise uses and markets nothing but the best products. They are clean, not overly formulated. They ensure and support healthy hair. 6. The Appointment- Denise makes and confirms your appointment. Her policies are posted, understood and reasonable. She can be reached easily by phone, text, or email and responds promptly. Arriving at D'MAZ Lifestyle Salon, you are greeted with tea, coffee or water. In the chair, a discussion of expectations, what does/doesn't/hasn't worked since your last appointment is conducted. If it's a cut, then over to the wash sink for a relaxing shampoo and scalp massage. Otherwise for color or other processes begin. My husband introduced me to Denise decades ago. I was ready for a new stylist and havent looked back. She is as professional as they come, knowing product lines, styling techniques and always looking to keep updated and educated. If you are looking for a busy salon, where you can socialize with other clients as you get your nails done or wait for your stylist to be ready, then Dmaz isnt for you. If you want undivided attention in a private space, with a stylist who will listen to your needs and care about you as well as your hair, then Dmaz is exactly what you need. I have always been impressed with the cleanliness of the salon and since Covid, I appreciate Denises commitment to exceeding government safety standards.
