I am giving this company 1 star based on the customer service received. I am a local general contractor. I ordered an azek lamp post from them for my own personal use. The post looked great, and I was excited to install it. However, when I tried to upwrap the post cap, it was difficult to get out of the plastic wrap, and the cap fell to the floor, where it just split into pieces. I reached out to the company -- to see if they could replace it or even maybe give me a discount based on the fact that it broke so easily. Instead, I got a very curt, "it will cost you $50 plus $25 shipping to replace. " from a man by the name of Ken. When I asked if they were really going to charge me that much money to replace something that fell apart so easily, the answer from the owner Mike had my question in quotes with a "yes". That was it. No apologies, no explanations, no discount. $25 to ship a very light cap seems like highway robbery. Also, the direction on how to install the post leaves out a few details that I had to research on my own. As a result, I will not only never order from them again. I plan to steer my customers away from them. I don't believe this is the proper way to treat a customer, and I do not recommend them.

I purchase products from this company on a regular basis for clients. The guys are professional, quotes are timely, and overall they produce beautiful products.

So, so disappointing. If I could give a zero I would. I purchased a classic arbor from them about 15 years ago and loved it. Great quality, looked nice, but had reached the end of it's life. I went to order a replacement arbor and some additional items but was greeted with short emails indicating that my request was too involved and they didn't want to be bothered with my order (items that were listed on their website). I still proceeded with ordering just the arbor and some protective wrapping for the post. When the wrapping arrived ($80 for 4 posts -- ripoff) I didn't receive the correct quantity listed on the invoice. When I called to let them know of the error they denied it was wrong. As the conversation proceeded I was greeted with the comment "so what do you want me to do". It was the oddest conversation I can say I've ever had with a business. It was simple issue for something that was over priced and could have been easily handled by "sorry we'll send you out the missing piece". -- When the invoice says qty=3 and you open the box and there's 2 of something, you'd think it would be a simple conversation for a business. I'm not sure if it's the same owners that I purchased from years ago, but I would honestly say the company that this is not a company that I would recommend anyone doing business with. I don't post reviews anywhere online, so you can judge by that how disappointed I am with them as a business. They made a decent arbor in the past, but regardless I wont do it again.

I would give 0 stars if possible - this company is deceptive, has no respect for the customer, and refuses to take responsibility for their errors. They seem to do business under the names New England Woodworks and New Forest Products in Avon Lake OH. I inquired about a SINGLE HALO ARBOR as shown on their web site. I never mentioned or inquired about or discussed or had any interest in any other kind of arch or arbor or product from them. I spoke with them once on the phone, and we exchanged several emails prior to my placing my order (I have the string of emails to document this.) However, what they sent me a Double Archway with connecting spindles. They are claiming that the double archway is what I ordered, because after an email discussion about the SINGLE HALO ARBOR that I wanted, and how I could install it, they advised me to order what they called a "5x5x36 arch kit. So I did. Problem is, they never mentioned that a 5x5x36 arch kit" was an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT product i.e. it is NOT a single halo arbor kit. At no time did they inform me of the fact that if I ordered a 5x5x36 arch kit, that I was going to receive a double archway with connecting spindles. I expected to receive the SINGLE HALO ARBOR that we had been discussing all along. They duped me into ordering a double archway with connecting spindles, and now they are using this mis-representation to avoid responsibility for sending me a product I do NOT want. Instead they say that I got what I ordered, that I should just keep what they sent, that I should add two more fence posts and install it as delivered, because in their opinion I received a product that is superior to the Single Halo Arbor that I wanted. Unbelievble arrogance on their part !!! I have filed a dispute with my credit card company because they have refused to replace this product with the one I wanted, refused to provide an itemized invoice showing shipping charges, and refused to send a prepaid return shipping label for me to return the double archway that I never even inquired about (it is huge and more than twice the weight of a single halo arch = $$$.) I DO NOT recomend doing business with this company.
