Hampton Inn Athens

The halls were very warm, the rooms were comfortable. An odd lamp on the desk is almost unusable. It looks flexible, but is not. The place is clean and has enough space for the two of us. The beds are comfy too Nearby activities: Ohio University is close by, as well as Hocking Hills

Amber & all the staff are very friendly & helpful, we stay here whenever we go to see our son & his family in North Carolina, I highly recommend this place as a stop on your trip be it personal or business.

This is a well run Hampton Inn. You can tell the owner cares about the guest experience and it is not just a squeeze the profit out of it location. Rooms: Large, spacious room with a desk to work at. The bathroom sink had a generous amount of counter space and shelves. The room had a small refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave oven. Great for a long stay. Nearby activities: Hiking in the mountains at Strouds Run State Park and Athens West State Park. Ohio University and their sporting events are close by. Walkability: You can walk from the hotel to a couple close by restaurants. Texas Roadhouse is one of those close by options. Noteworthy details: I provided a picture of their thoughtful and creative breakfast to go bags for those in a hurry that do not have time to sit down and eat. Friendly welcoming staff. Well stocked breakfast options.
