Deer Ridge Bed and Breakfast

Peter and Linda were amazing hosts, very warm and friendly! The bed and breakfast itself is absolutely beautiful. Peter greeted us at the front door, gave us the grand tour, and told us about all the amenities. Very comfortable bed. Amazing bathtub. The blueberry pancakes were divine. I can't wait to visit again!!!

Rooms: Rooms are spacious and clean. Safety: We felt very safe while staying here. Food & drinks: Peter and Linda are kind and thoughtful hosts! The homemade breakfast was deliscious! Noteworthy details: Peter and Linda are extremely helpful and knowledgeable about everything related to Ohio University. We would definitely stay again!

We rented all the available rooms at Deer Ridge for our family members coming into town to celebrate our daughter's Masters degree graduation. Peter and Linda were extremely accommodating and even assisted us as we hosted a graduation party in the common area following graduation. Linda's home cooked breakfasts were exceptional and a highlight of our weekend. The well appointed bedrooms were all great, and the beds proved to be very comfortable (which is very important to my wife and me!). We look forward to our next stay at Deer Ridge!

My family visited Dear Ridge B&B in December 2022, and we had an absolutely wonderful time! It was a time to witness our granddaughters graduation from Ohio University, and have a little celebration afterwards. Dear Ridge made it such a special time for us, by allowing us to use their main dining room to host our event. They prepared for us in every way, even having some decor of their own set up giving that warm feeling of having been been thought of in advance, we had no idea they were going to do that. Also, Dear Ridge is so clean and tidy, making me feel especially comfortable there. The rooms and bathrooms are so spacious!! If you are handicapped or even full figured with difficulty getting around, (like myself) you could not find a place more suited for you. Everything is made available to you, and they go above and beyond in every way. This couple is so precious, and they certainly have the gift for hospitality, they arent just being hospitable, it oozes from them and it is apparent in everything they do, you really have to experience it for yourself. They have a great room, very comfortable and cozy with a fireplace where our family were able to gather after the celebration, (in our PJ's if we wanted) and just relax with a cup of warm cocoa or coffee to have some laughs, and unwind with fun conversation. It was all just great! Thank you Dear Ridge! For such an all around delightful time, We shall return.

This Bed and Breakfast is beautiful and run by such an amazing couple! I had a wonderful stay back in October when the leaves were on the verge of changing. It was picturesque and everything I needed to feel that nature connection. The abundance of snacks was greatly appreciated. There were a lot of snack items I hadnt really had before. Im not a big slacker so I dont buy the items for myself. There are indoor and outdoor cats on the premises but the indoor cats are not kept in the guests area. I would say they should be, but I understand other peoples concerns. I had an amazing stay, got to enjoy amazing views, see some deer in the fog (would have been a great picture if I had my camera ), and had the most delicious breakfasts. I will definitely be staying again. Rooms: Each of the rooms were in the same hallway with key coded locked doors. I stayed in the Chantilly room and while pictures for the room didnt show it, the room did have a mini fridge available. It is a beautiful room with a very comfortable bed, a rocking chair, end of bed bench, desk and chair, and a small armoire.
