FortisureIT - Transforming IT Services

My business has been looking for a US based partner to help build a SaaS platform after our previous over seas partner fell through. We found FortisureIT through an ad on LinkedIn and did some investigating. Here is some of what we found: 1. Looking over their leadership team on their website, we noticed that many of their leaders had achieved no higher than an associates degree or a degree in a non tech related field. In addition, they had no experience before joining the company. This led us to conclude that the team is likely inexperienced, if the leadership lacks experience then how can we feel confident about their decision making and the rest of the team they lead. We need a true engineering partner for building robust and well documented systems as we intend to scale our business and this didn't give us a good first impression. 2. We found information online that indicated that this company significantly underpays its employees. If you are looking for an on shore IT partner, one of the reasons you might be doing so is because you value knowing that you're not contributing to the underpaid and overworked conditions of overseas tech consultancies. We hoped to find an IT partner who is based in the US in a lower cost of living area that still paid its employees well (compared to some of the ones out west where cost of living is very high thus higher salaries/overhead). A big part of this companies rhetoric is that they build local talent and help their community but so far this doesn't seem to be the case. 3. This company reminded us a lot of our previous partner that was based out of India (Wipro). Wipro and similar consultancies have a reputation for having inexperienced employees, doing their own internal "training", and for not paying their employees well. A little bit of research and we found that the CEO of FortisureIT, Mani Subramanian, actually use to be the president of Wipro. Not only was he the president of Wipro, but according to his Wikipedia page, he played a significant role in growing Wipro's IT Service Offshoring business. So why now is it that the man responsible for offshoring IT services during his time as president at Wipro is suddenly running an On Shore IT Consultancy business? And why does the company rhetoric imply that they care about local communities, building local talent, and bringing jobs back to the US when their CEO made a pretty good career doing the exact opposite. It seems very disingenuous and the overall conclusion we came to was that FortisureIT is not actually interested in building exceptional local talent but instead hiring inexperienced people so that they can keep cost low and claim these things to appeal to companies looking for US based partners. In reality they are no better than the over seas partners many businesses who want an on shore partner are looking to get away from.

Figure I'd give an honest opinion about this place, for 75 an hour that they advertise you could just do better, Ohio pays through their tech jobs program half the salaries of their new employees for 6 months and once that's over the employees are let go if they don't "make the cut" That means foritsure only even pays 10 an hour of their 20 to their employees and they take the 65, you get what you pay for here and you're likely paying for a college graduate or teenager to work on your systems. They operate on undercutting so if you need cheap they are your guys but if you really need someone who knows their stuff know you get what you pay for.
