I had a very negative experience with my counselor. She was very aggressive and pushy the moment I met her. I felt as though she had racial bias against me as an African American male and continuously invalidated my experiences of discrimination. She made comments about my racial identity and religious preferences repeatedly that I felt were insensitive, inappropriate, and unnecessary. Over a period of several sessions we never once talked about what was bothering me and when we got close I was always told we "ran out of time" as she skillfully maneuvered the conversation in the direction she wanted it to go. When I requested a new therapist I was told to find another practice. I would not recommend this business if you are a black person or person of color!

I am very happy with my counselor here. they listen to me and are always willing to help be understand what is going on. I never feel rushed or hurried and never out of place. I can be open about who i am and i feel heard and not judged.

The counselor I had was rude one-sided and racist she to us "Your marriage isn't meant to be and most black people don't want to be married anyway.. So my advice is if you are a person of color seek help somewhere else. This all happened in two sessions
