Atlantic Fencing

Working for this company in the beginning is excellent; they promise growth and stability, but it gradually becomes a toxic work environment. The owner, Clay, will first begin with passive, aggressive remarks that will begin to depreciate and belittle you as a worker. The company's main focus behind the curtain is making sure they receive the best reviews so they can be top-notch in the area for each site. They may portray the incredible work completed as "a company," but they quickly forget that their blue-collar workers are the ones setting down a foundation at each job site to earn said reviews. They pride themselves on their astounding work but have lost a handful of employees over the last few months because of the poor treatment in the field. However, they make sure to compensate you in the hopes that the extra cash will ease your mind, but if the owner feels a certain way, he will certainly let you know and everyone involved. He has lost his temper many times at work sites, yelling and cursing at employees (as I've heard and seen through video chat), very unprofessional. The mistreatment of fellow employees is disgraceful. My husband feared that, just like he witnessed other employees get terminated "for not meeting the criteria," they would do the same with slow, passive, aggressive mistreatment. It's sad that this is the true reputation behind closed doors: no one has the courage to say anything; no one asked me to write this; I am doing this out of my own will based on what I've seen and heard to create awareness to employers and employees alike. We have a family; our income is our bread, and when our family is taken as a burden by this company, it hits hard. We moved two weeks ago, farther from the sitetwo hours, to be exactand decided to stay because the other employees have become like family. In the owners' words, "Find yourself a babysitter; we need an answer by today." Our kids finish school in 8 weeks. We were hoping to work with the company so it wouldn't affect their schooling and start the new year at the new school since my husband already travels to go to work. Yet since we moved, my husband drives two hours each day to make it to work and two hours back home. He goes above and beyond to make sure customers are happy, but this is the reward after all the hard work and dedication. My husband has never left a company wrong; he always makes sure to leave with two weeks notice because it is an honorable and respectful thing to do, but the threat of termination due to the owner's behavior has forced him to leave and never look back.

Atlantic fencing just redid the fencing in our backyard and we couldnt be happier! Kayla and Clay were wonderful to work with and Jake and Mario who completed the work were fantastic! I wanted a minor change the last day and Clay came out to approve it, give a price, and get the additional materials. 10/10 recommend!
