Poppyseed Provisions

Sadly, they are closing at the end of February. So the shelves are running bare on prepared meals. But they still had a nice selection of cold drinks, candies and other local fare. I'm sure the winter time was tough on sales in this location. It's tucked away behind Louie and Honey's and seems like it would be a great hangout in warmer weather with the outdoor picnic tables.

Adorable little place! Go check it out!  Beer and wine and food you can snack on or buy to take with you.  They have cute little gifts as well.

"A Convenience Store Reimagined" and they are exactly that. Throw everything you know about a convenience store out the window. Poppyseed Provisions does it better. This is the cutest little store with so much to offer! On this particular day, 10/7/22, I went to catch Chippeekiyay popping up with their new Halloween cookies, but there was so much more! Popular nearby restaurant, The Porch, had a table set up as well offering samples (a huge portion!) of their new menu item, Tex Mex mac & cheese, plus a few other nibbles. We grabbed some cookies and Tex Mex and headed inside. There are 10 or so picnic tables outside. It was a beautiful night and all those were full, so we grabbed a table inside. With the open air concept, we could still catch the breeze and enjoy the live music. Oftentimes I feel when sitting inside with live music, it's simply too loud and hard to communicate, but this place is the perfect venue for live music. Great place to kick back and relax.Poppyseed has a bar of beer and wine, no spirits. They had tons of bottled beer, plus tons of kombuchas, glass bottle sodas, just about anything you can imagine! They had several wine options as well as local/craft beers (Fiddlin Fish, Wicked Weed, WiseMan) on tap. We opted for one of the tea cocktails and you have the option to add Prosecco which we did. I was SO impressed with the presentation. Edible flower petals and dehydrated blood oranges. So cute and tasty!!This is the perfect place to come and grab some local artisan goods for gifts. They have everything's from soaps and honeys to towels and sauces. I wanted to buy so many things! They also have take and bake meals from The Porch, A Full Measure, pizzas from Cugino Forno, and more! They have their own parking lot, located below/behind Louie & Honey's.
