We ordered a piece of glass to protect a tabletop in our home. We were told we could pick it up on a Monday. And so the saga began. On Monday we called to be sure it was ready before we headed over - no answer. The next day we called again. We were told that they had trouble cutting the glass (it was flat and rectangular) and had decided to order it precut from their supplier - to be delivered Thursday or Tuesday. No call Thursday or Tuesday. Tuesday afternoon we called and they confirmed the glass was on the supplier truck to their shop. Still no delivery or call. When we called back, they said that it was on the supplier truck but was not unloaded at their shop and they would try to catch the driver. Our next followup call revealed that they missed the driver, but they would deliver it as soon as it returned to them on Thursday. We also got a text confirmation that they would deliver by 1:30 the following day (Thursday.) No delivery and no call so we called at 2:30. After 2 more followup calls we learned that the supplier driver could not locate the piece so it would be remanufactured for delivery next Tuesday. We cancelled the order. Had we received one call without having to chase them down, we probably would have agreed to the additional time.
