SALT - Inclusive Methodist Community- a United Methodist Church - Wilmington NC

I joined SALT after the church that I'd been attending was closed earlier this year, and it has been like a breath of fresh air ever since. Pastor Gayle has been a blessing and her services are engaging and she includes me and the others in the services as we wish to be involved. We have started branching out and are becoming more involved in community events around us and we're also creating opportunities for community involvement with SALT too, such as the recent Blessing Of The Animals held at a riverside park (see picture). I had an exceptional experience at this inclusive United Methodist church! The welcoming atmosphere, diverse congregation, and commitment to inclusivity create a supportive community where everyone feels valued. The thoughtful sermons and engaging programs make it a truly enriching spiritual home. It is obvious that these people love Jesus, and others. You will feel a part of the group from the moment you walk in the door. If you are looking for a place to reconnect with God, this is it! Highly recommend!

I was looking for a church that is truly inclusive and asks us to be disciples of Jesus TODAY! Pastor Gayle's sermons are inspiring and down to earth and connect us to Jesus in such meaningful ways each week. The music is always joyful and so well done to support the church experience. Great community. I appreciate that we are involved in our local community on multiple projects throughout the year.

I have attended the Salt Methodist Community Church many times and they always start with this song: Whosoever, needs a shelter, Needs a Saviour, come in closer All who wander, every outsider You are safe here, Whosoever! That kind of says exactly what they are about. Everyone who loves everyone is welcome. You can feel it. The energy in this space is good. The people are welcoming, the music is good and uplifting, the sermons are thought provoking and the coffee is good! Whoever you are, you may find yourself very much at home here.

Ive struggled to find a church that gave me a sense of belonging, of being a part of something that matters. Salt Inclusive Methodist Community has given me a place to grow my relationship with God, and focusing on Jesus love and acceptance of all. The messages help inspire me to live my best life. The services are small, but there is so much connection, caring, acceptance and laughter!
