Novant Health Scotts Hill Outpatient Surgery Center

I recently had a hysterectomy at this facility. My post op nurse was absolutely horrible. I was in a ton of pain which was treated with intense disrespect. I told the nurse I had to use the restroom she argued with me saying that no I did not I just felt that way because I just had a catheter in. I went on to pee in my bed, I was 10 minutes post op unable to barely move. Followed by the same nurse telling me I would not be able to go home if I didnt get myself under control. I have had several surgeries and I have never been in a place that has nurses that are so incredibly rude and demeaning to their patients.

Staff and doctors were terrific. Clean and organized facility. In addition, everyone I had contact with was kind and caring.

3/13/24 Sad to say I cant leave a good review. The two women working the desk this morning were beyond disrespectful. I witnessed it with my mother, myself, as well as with the guest next to us. I witnessed LISA be extremely rude; making snide remarks and rude comments about the guest next to us while they were not paying attention. Sadly this was nothing compared to what my family and I experienced with CATHY. Cathy was beyond rude and unfriendly. I do believe there is absolutely no reason this woman should be in such a position. This is an outpatient facility, most people are coming in to receive simple or quick procedures. I truly believe that the last thing someone needs on the morning of a surgery, is to come face-to-face with Cathy. My family and I have been on this health journey with my mother for over a year now, and I now thank God that I have only ever run into one Cathy. She was hands-down, the most disrespectful medical professional I have ever dealt with.

I wanted to share my review of Novant Health Scotts Hill Surgical Center on here.. My son had a T&A, tubes and another procedure done this past week with Dr. Haywood and I have nothing but good things to say. Cathy greeted us bright and early with a big smile and kind personality. She ensured I received a text message prior to our arrival that would later be used to keep me informed about my sons progress in the OR and recovery. Our pre-op nurse Kelly was great at making sure my son and I both knew what to expect and made him as comfortable as he could be. The anesthesiologist Dr. Wells was wonderful and I enjoyed his sense of humor. Fast forward to PACU- Lauren was great, working hard to get my little guys pain under control while providing him all the options they had for soothing his throat. He woke up very cranky and Im sure she was thankful I was there . All the nurses in pre-op and PACU worked together to make sure the patients were cared for and that everyone had what they needed. And lastly, Linda, a volunteer was so sweet and kind. I appreciated her help getting out to the car. Dr Haywood was great, good bedside manner and calm demeanor. Id recommend him to anyone. If anyone named above sees this, Thank you!!
