Excellent, honest contractor. They did a rather large addition for us that went off without a hitch. They show up when they say they will and always answer the phone for questions or concerns.

We are delighted with our new deck which was designed and built by Balding Design Build. The leaders were involved throughout the process and the on site build team did beautiful work.

Balding Design Build was recommended by my sister after they completed a porch enclosure and deck extension for her. My project was extensive, which included lowering a ceiling, removing a wall and fire place and remodeling the kitchen. From the beginning the contract, payment schedule, scope of work and timeline were clearly explained by Nick Balding. Being able to check the time line and what was happening when, with the help of the computer program BuildTrend, was reassuring, though face to face updates with team members happened frequently. Catherine Balding incorporated my requests about layout and helped me choose materials within budget. The 3D CAD renderings of the design were very helpful to me, who sometimes has difficulty visualizing a finished project. Nick Balding and the project manager did the rest. Appliances were relocated to another room and dust shields placed over doorways. There was no worry about subcontractors, materials delivery, demolition or clean-up. They took care of everything. As a single person, "of a certain age", it was important to me that I have that protection. Admittedly, the project was expensive, but the work was also extensive, replacing a door with windows, finding brick to match the newly closed exterior wall and opening the concrete slab to lay new electric and gas lines. Subsequent to my project my sister has used them again for a bathroom remodel, and I plan to use them in the future for a deck and bathroom remodel which is, I guess, the highest recommendation. We contracted with Balding Design Build to convert our outdoor porch to a four season room. From our first meeting with Nick and Catherine we knew we were in good hands. We have received so many compliments on the addition. Looking at it from the exterior you would never know that it was not part of the original house. Inside, the work blends with the rest of our house. Outstanding workmanship and quality materials. Project manager Jim was outstanding to work with, providing weekly updates and keeping the project moving, resulting in an on time, on budget completion. We highly recommend Balding Brothers! I first worked with Nick and Catherine in 2013, choosing them after interviewing several companies. Nick did such a great job explaining the process to me in our initial meeting, I knew immediately they were the best choice. They delivered a top notch master bath! Fast forward to 2019 and a new home that needed a kitchen, master bath, new flooring, and new staircase. We were so excited to work with Balding Brothers again, we sent pictures of the house before we even closed. Nick and Catherine are able to imagine a space for you but have the ability to adapt to your vision too. The design process is always fun and Catherine is full of great ideas. Once the job started we worked closely with John, our project manager, who kept the job humming along beautifully. The subcontractors were amazing! Professional, timely and true craftsmen. You can also count on Balding Brothers to handle the change orders that are inevitable with any renovation. Nick and Catherine are smart, imaginative, honest, and reliable. Book them while you can!
