After hurricane ida we called this place to get materials to rebuild our damaged structures. Initially our experience was great. Before placing the order we were told the materials would have to be picked up about 50 miles from our home because of road closures from hurricane damage. We told them we couldn’t do that. It was too heavy and too much. They told us the company they used for shipping (old dominion) and we called the shipping company ourselves. The shipping company said they would start delivering to our area the next week so we let US buildings know to hold off on shipping until it could come to our home and not have to be picked up somewhere far. They told us the shipping price and we declined to pay it incase it changed with the extra distance from the pick up place to our home. They called back and said we could go ahead and pay it because it was not going to be more to deliver 59 miles farther from the pick up place. So we paid it. Later on It ships and we get a phone call that we needed to go pick it up tomorrow. It wasn’t coming to our home as planned and discussed. I called US buildings trying to figure out how to get it to our home instead and explained that bob assured us it would be coming to our house and that we were all very clear in what was supposed to happen. Like I said, we even called the shipping company ourselves. Debbie and Laurie were so rude to me when I called asking for help trying to figure out what to do. One was on the phone with another in the background making passive aggressive comments. We never declined to pay extra for shipping and they were going on and on about how I didn’t pay enough and trying to blame my husband saying they spoke with him and he agreed to this. I told them we would pay whatever we needed to and that my husband must have misunderstood because there was no way we could pick it up. They were still being so aggressive and rIdiculous. I eventually snapped and was about to cry explaining that we had been through a lot with the storm and we were trying to pick up the pieces and needed help getting the materials to our home. We ended up paying an extra amount in addition to the almost 1000 we had already paid for shipping and it’s coming here. But our experience with this company was terrible. No reason to be so rude. Especially knowing we were trying to rebuild after having been through a terrible storm. Would not recommend at all.

I spoke to Al at the company and told him we were the process of looking for a building to suit our needs and getting quotes. I requested references to check out. Al could only come up one reference. Mark came out and showed us his products. He had a building someone cancelled and we could buy that day at a discounted rate. It was not the color I wanted nor door size and stated that. I asked what their payment schedule was if I was ready to purchase a building. He said 25% down and the remainder upon material delivery (pre-installment) and I would pay his installers after I inspected the installation. I said I was not ready to buy today and that I pay in full after installation and inspection done by company rep And myself. He a abruptly packed up And walked out of my house. Many similar poor reviews on yelp and the BBB. I do not recommend.

I just picked up my forth building today all four from North Carolina factory. I worked with Bob Casteel who was constantly trying to ensure that I was able to purchase the exact building I need.I traveled to wilkesboro today and picked up my building , Joe Green met me at the factory and gave me a full tour of the facilities. He answered the few questions I had and over saw the loading of my building onto my trailer. Great day all because of the people at US buildings. Thank you both for all you done. Now as for their buildings as I stated I now have four, the first one was purchased in 1996 it still looks as good as the one I just bought. These building are the best you will find anywhere and if I need another one I'll head back to Wilkesboro and get it. Thanks again sincerely Denny Wood
