Just bought the Husqvarna 592 XP from GER, the employees were polite and very helpful. They answered (my many) questions flawlessly. This is the ONLY Husqvarna dealership within 75 miles from my home. GER had tons of chainsaw equipment., their shelves were handily stocked. I'll drive the extra miles from now on. Waynesville Bypass has old men standing around scratching their @$$. They offer no help with buying parts, and the atmosphere is like a morgue. Avoid Wavnesville Bypass, at all cost.

After receiving saw back from general equipment for warranty repair, it has made my life easier by having my saw back in operation. So far seems like saw was repaired correctly. Even though it was a difficult process of coming to a reasonable resolution I will consider doing business with general equipment in the future. I thank the lady for her kind responses to original review. I have been a repeat customer of this business for several years. Most recently I had purchased a professional grade chainsaw in 2020. Since I had purchased the saw it began progressively pitting in the crankshaft assembly. The saw still under warranty I took to General equip to have the saw either replaced or repaired. They did not want to help but I insisted that since they were the nearest service dealer for husqvarna, i bought the saw from them they should help. The sales rep that sold the saw argued that I didn't buy saw from them. I showed the paper receipts and he quit arguing about that. He then accused me of dipping saw in a barrel of acid. I told him to quit falsely accusing me, he then accused me of putting fertilizer on saw. Which I had not done either of these stupid accusations. He finally agreed that it was a issue that needed addressing. After a month 3 weeks I call him he said he was still waiting hear from the manufacturer. After 2 months the next week I went to dealer and confronted them face to face. They accused me again of putting those chemicals on saw and the manufacturer refused to correct problem. I informed them to quit committing slander against me. The manager apologized to me, after a long conversation I convinced the manager to call husqvarna while I was there. He immediately told husqvarna that I said I put fertilizer on the saw. I immediately corrected him loud enough that the woman on the other end of the phone heard. She also took down the information to look into the matter. One week later general called and said the manufacturer is going to replace the faulty parts under warranty. They have the parts and are shipping them immediately. I called two weeks later , they said the part hasn't arrived yet. He also told me it might take him 2 years to repair saw. It at this point has been 3 months the saw has been at there shop. My dad went with me the day i went to the shop to find out what problem was. he asked one of the salesman how much the largest woodsplitter daily rent fee was. Guy said $500 per day. I heard what he said as did other customers. There was a friend of mine called 3 days later, he asked about the splitter fee.the same salesman said $77 per day. The employees at this location are rude and just a bunch of smart aszes. Use caution when doing business there. The only polite helpful person there was the one mechanic I met. he agreed with me that It was simply a manufacturer defect on the saw that needed replacement under the warranty

Hello, Mr. Graham. Please accept my apologies for the delayed response to your review. First, I want to thank you for your business. We know there are many other places you could have spent your hard-earned money, and we appreciate that you chose us. I also want to thank you for this review. It shines a light on areas where we can improve, and it gives me a chance to respond and apologize publicly. My understanding of how this all started is that the crankcase on your chainsaw is gradually corroding or pitting, and you brought it to us for a repair under warranty. You did the right thing bringing your saw to us. We service all Husqvarna outdoor power equipment, no matter where it was purchased. No one should have suggested that purchasing your saw from us was a condition for accepting your saw for service and repair. Put simply, it’s not. In a quarter century of selling Husqvarna equipment, this is the first time we have ever seen crankcase corrosion on a saw. Given where and how outdoor equipment is normally stored, fertilizer or some other acidic agent seemed plausible. Statements to that effect were not meant as assignment of blame, but I can understand how the speculation felt like an accusation to you. Ultimately, we took your saw in for a warranty repair, pending approval from Husqvarna. Around three weeks later, you called for the status of your repair and spoke with our GM, Craig. He didn’t know where the repair stood and the person who was handling it was out. When the associate returned, he called Husqvarna and was informed that the claim was denied. Unfortunately, no one contacted you to tell you that. There is no excuse for this. I am very sorry for our failure to follow through, and you can rest assured that we will be taking a good look at our internal processes to find and prevent such failures in the future. When you returned a few weeks later, in an effort to appeal the denial, Craig called our Husqvarna regional rep. The next day, he also spoke with a the warranty department directly. They maintained that they have not had any claims about the pitting to the magnesium crankcases on the 562xp. They started that this is not a warrantable repair because if it were a production problem, more than one saw would have been affected. Despite all that, Craig persuaded them not to charge you for the part. The next day, Craig gave you that update, adding that we would not charge you for the labor either. He told you what they told him: the part was ordered and would ship right away. Husqvarna failed to place that order. Two weeks later, you called in and were told that the part wasn’t in yet. Our associate couldn’t check on its shipping status because it was processed outside of their usual system. He made a pessimistic comment to you about how long it takes to get parts in from Husqvarna. Though not entirely inaccurate, the comment was unnecessary and unhelpful.  A week later, Craig learned that it still hadn’t shipped. He called the warranty department and forcefully communicated that the wait was unacceptable, and that the person most affected by the delay was a customer who would probably never buy another Husqvarna product. That was four days ago. At long last, this morning we received the part and installed it immediately. As of an hour ago, your saw is ready for pick up! Please accept my apologies and my assurance that we will use this episode to improve our communication processes in the future. Erika ConradCo-Owner, General Equipment Rental
