Trevor Brandt was very professional, always one step ahead, honest and was an absolute pleasure to work with. The staff was amazing, timely and extremely polite. Would recommend this firm to anyone looking for legal help and give more than 5 stars if I could.

NC NEGLIGENCE CLAIM SUBMITTED AGAINST PERRY BRANDT.
I contacted Mr. Brandt to see about drafting a contract for my small business. After speaking with Mr. Brandt, I agreed to view what he could do for my business in contract formation. The first draft was not what I needed for my small business after he explained he had formed contracts for my profession in the past. I found there were more clauses needed to protect my business and there was also wording that may not have held up in court (for my small business) if I had a situation with a Client. I had requested to change wording because it would have been gray area for my Clients and their understanding of what they were signing. Mr. Brandt didn't change the simple wording, didn't complete a final draft that was usable and sent me a final bill almost three months later (although I never formally accepted the proof shared). After review the first draft, I had went elsewhere for my contract services that are written very well and specifically for what my business needed. Mr. Brandt emailed me two months after for payment and I when I disclosed that I had went elsewhere for the work and that I didn't feel the first draft could be used by my business, his first response in email was that he would sue me for payment. Are you kidding? Is this how you choose to do business in the local community with local businesses? I have no obligation to pay as I did not formally enter into a contract for services with this business, there was no consideration (money) upfront paid or my wet signature to bind me to the responsibility to pay this person. I did not receive a usable service (as initially promised by Mr. Brandt) for my small business and therefore I went elsewhere for my business needs and chose not to follow through with Mr. Brandt. I encourage anyone who has been bullied by this individual to step forward and file a complaint with the NC BAR - Attorney Negligence.
Update: this attorney has moved forward with a civil suit although he had not provided 30 day fee dispute process which is a violation of ethics in the state of North Carolina. He claims he will drop his civil suit it I go through the fees dispute process first with him after NC BAR contacted him regarding this matter.
