I have never written a negative review against a company before. Mostly because they attempt to act like they care about their customers. But this is to warn other potential customers. Very disappointed in the service this company has provided. While I understand that using 4g LTE as a primary home internet service is not a good idea, some of us are only left with this option. I live in an urban area with good service by all major carriers. I have a LTE modem with a LTE sim card from CH Gadgets, that is on the T-Mobile network. CH Gadgets advertises that if you purchase a sim card through their company you will have unlimited, unthrottled LTE data. They do state that you could be subject to deprioritization if the tower you are on becomes congested. I've had "working" service after for approximately 3 days now and the highest download speeds I've hit were 10 mbps upload. That happened once. The average speed is about 2 mbps download. With the lowest consistent speed being .50 mbps. I do understand that theyre might be issues on my end (modem type, modem settings, line of sight to the tower) but I cant rule anything out because CH Gadgets refuses to communicate. 3 days ago my sim would not work and I emailed Ch Gadgets to see what the issue was. He responded pretty quick by saying he was on his way home and would check the sim. That was around 5 pm. Ive asked for status updates by sending emails multiple times since then and have gotten no response. The problem is youre paying $85 a month for a service from a company that has no customer support. He has other reviews with the BBB and they reference the same issues. Ch gadgets seems like they are in business for a quick sale but have no intentions of keeping customers and do not care about the customers experience. There are other companies that provide this service that are more expensive but provide a better service and care about their customers. You get what you pay for.
