3rd Generation Sparks Masonry

Job entailed a new large front porch, brick veneer with concrete surface finish. My general contractor recommended Andy Sparks for the masonry work. His quality of workmanship was outstanding, work was completed in a timely manner, and I have no complaints. I recommend his firm and would certainly use his services again.

Was able to fit me in last minute to make sure an area of bricks in my basement were patched up and ready to sell. Very trustworthy. Did great work including leaving everything super clean. Super reasonable pricing. Would use again for any and all of my needs. Great craftsman and very honest and professional.

I contracted with Andy Sparks, owner of 3rd Generation Sparks Masonry, to do two projects for me. Andy said both projects would take 10 weeks total to complete; but its now been over a year and neither project is complete. Ive caught him up in so many lies its pathetic. He now says he has asked around and has been told by others that he bid the jobs too low. So, now he says he doesnt have money to pay his workers to finish the jobs. So, now I have two unfinished projects. Mr. Sparks supposedly has taken a job working for Duke Energy as a Supervisor; but its my understanding that hes still bidding on jobs, through 3rd Generation Sparks Masonry, whenever someone calls. Im posting this review because I dont want others to get taken advantage of like I have been. I know its hard to find people to work nowadays and you might be thinking, maybe 3rd Generation Sparks Masonry is not as bad as this guy is making them out to be. Youre right, theyre actually worse and I have EVERYTHING documented. However, if you are that hard up and decide to give them a try, DON'T GIVE THEM ANY MONEY UP FRONT! If they say they need money for materials to get started, you better pay the vendor direct! DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT give them any money directly until they actually complete your project or youll be sorry. If I was you, Id just call someone else! I know I will. What am Im saying, I have to call someone else if I want to get these projects done! By the way, Ive even offered for my sons and I to work side by side with Mr. Sparks on weekends to get the projects done, since he says he doesnt have money to pay his guys to finish the projects, but Mr. Sparks says he needs to rest and have family time on the weekends.

I had tree damage to my patio. Instead of just patching up the existing patio the rebuilt the entire wall so that the brick would all match. They did really nice nice work and would work with them again.
