The Inn on Front Street

We ditto everything the other 5 star ratings say: fabulous breakfast, large rooms with comfy beds and the softest linens, fantastic location just a couple blocks from a cute downtown but still close to the highway, peaceful backyard in which to enjoy a nice provided glass of wine and the best part: awesome hosts! Loved it so much that we changed our return trip to stay with Mike and Jerilyn! Rooms: Very well appointed and large... softest linens! Walkability: Two blocks from historical downtown with shops and restaurants Food & drinks: Grab-n-go snacks and drinks; complimentary wine in afternoon; fantastic, multi course breakfast

Our visit to the Inn, though brief, was truly wonderful! The owners were very accomodating. We had to arrive outside of regular check in and they made it simple. When we arrived, Mike shared details of the Inn and made sure we had everything we needed. The next morning we awoke to the amazing smell of breakfast being prepared. I'm vegitarian and they made the most amazing omelets for us served in the most beautiful way! I'm not sure when I've seen such beautifully plated food that also tasted so good! Compliments to Geralyn (not sure I spelled that right). I can't wait to visit again and see the Inn all dressed up for Christmas! Thanks again for the lovely stay.

We stayed one night at Mike and Jerilyn's Inn on Front Street. We were greeted warmly, everything was explained to us from the complimentary snacks to beer and water in the guest fridge to coffee downstairs and upstairs just outside our room. Our room was absolutely gorgeous as was each room in the Inn. Then there was breakfast, delicious, served on lovely dishes and completed by great conversation with the other guests. Mike and Jerilyn seem to genuinely enjoy hosting and it makes the stay so comfortable. The short answer: we can't wait to return!

The Inn on Front Street is a wonderful B&B. Its a carefully restored and decorated 1917 architectural gem, with large, charming rooms. The owners provide truly exceptional service and are super friendly. The breakfast is outstanding. As for the town, wed never been to Statesville before, but were there for a baby shower. There are lots of lovely older homes and the owner made us a map we could use to walk the town and see all the beautiful older homes. Great experience!

What an amazing three nights I enjoyed at The Inn on Front Street! I was in town for the fabulous Full Bloom Film Festival and had the joy of staying at The Inn. Jerilyn & Mike Davidson are the perfect hosts - they welcome you like old friends, and invite you in to their lovely historic inn with boundless good cheer, delicious treats, beautiful rooms - my room had a four poster bed, a private balcony looking over the town - it was just delightful. The breakfasts alone are worth the whole visit. Prepared and served by Jerilyn & Mike, even when your stomach is ready to burst you have to eat every delicious bite. I felt completely pampered and renewed being at this lovely place. Don't miss the fire pit on the big, green lawn, sit down and have a long, lazy conversation with someone you love. Five stars!
