We love The Wood shed. The food is simple salt and peppered steak not frills which is okay by me. The staff is so friendly. We always request Mrs. Ruth or Mrs. Phyllis as our waitress. My 11 month old son son loves Mrs. Ruth! At the end of the night he was very fussy because he was ready to get up and play. My husband and I were not able to eat our food because we were trying to keep him happy. Mrs. Ruth walked up to our table picked him up and played with him close by and showed him the model train. With that being said that is not something they offer or should be expected to do, but since it was near closing and not as busy she took time to do that for us.

Had a great time tonight at Little Big Horn in Dallas, NC! Dinner is served at 8 pm, so recommend having a snack in the late afternoon. The flow through the steak/chicken serving line was very efficient and having the 2 - double sided salad bars helped everyone to get their food quickly. The food was absolutely delicious & the staff was wonderful! Definitely recommend this place to all! The location is down a narrow road (the sign says it is a two-way) with a lot of bumps and not much space if a vehicle is coming from the opposite direction. The building is very rustic but well maintained... the drive to the location can be a bit disturbing since you are going down a narrow road into the "back woods"-type location. The music and dancing was a lot of fun too!
