        I found out I had cancer in March 2023. Being unable to work while going through chemo left me without an income so I couldn't pay my bills. Joe Nichols helped me get through the bankruptcy process so easily. He was kind and friendly. He helped me every step of the way. Thank you so very much.         I did not get the chance to speak with a lawyer, only an incredibly rude paralegal- I think her name was Megan. She tried to convince me student loans are NEVER discharged in bankruptcy despite research I've done about Chapter 13 stating otherwise. Tried to convince me there would only be a six-month effect on me filing Chapter 7 and that my credit would be much better after that six month period. I'm more than aware that bankruptcy can be a stain your credit for up to a decade and I don't appreciate the false promises and cruddy salesman act. Before I could even get all my questions in, she stated "I'm not going to schedule a follow-up with you, I can already tell you won't show.". I cannot believe how negative my short experience with this office was.

        My friend was having an issue with her landlord and we had called around to many law offices and even did our own research to try to find information, due to no avail. One of the paralegals helped us over the phone, so nice and informative. The greatest help!

In regards to student loans, the Department of Education just changed its policies at the end of 2022 to make it substantially easier, but not guaranteed, to discharge them in bankruptcy.
