        My wife and I are getting divorced, after paying a $4750 retainer fee l, we decided to put a pause on the legal process. We tried to reconcile, it didnt work out. When I contacted the firm about continuing, I was told they arent accepting any new family law cases. They threw my paperwork out and had no obligation to me. Im working with the NC lawyer ethics board to resolve this issue as it doesnt state anything about this in my legal paperwork. Do not trust this company!

      Zack,Thank you for your review. We completed all retained work at your request and dismissed your case, at your request. Your file with our office was closed as of August 8, 2023. You were provided copies of all filed pleadings in your case. No paperwork has ever been "thrown out" by our office as we have always been and will always be under the constraints of the North Carolina State Bar and retain all files for a minimum period of seven (7) years. When you reached out to us regarding continuing with your representation, we were not accepting any new family law cases. We wish you well and hope things work in your favor.Regards,Stiller Law.
