The customer service is consistently horrible. They only allow for ACH for automatic payment. They will only allow you to change the address on your bill through an email even if you are on the phone with an agent. They will not use a web bill pay service to electronically deliver the bill and pay it online. Credit card payments have a service fee online, but (you can pay no fee if you go into the department). Only ACH if you want a to pay remotely without service fees. Stuck in the 50s and very bureaucratic. Update 1-23: I have 2 accounts. Checks left the same day for both from my bank more than a week prior to due date. One is on time. The other apparently arrived 3 days past due date. They tacked on an additional $6. I asked about a grace period from due date and the short answer is all the dates prior to the due date are the grace period. USPS not doing any favors. Send your check 2 weeks prior if you dont want to see a late charge. Apparently 55 other customers were in the same boat. So the water department made a $330 profit off late fees for checks posted through USPS around 5 Jan. Explains the reluctance to modernize or not create a 4 day grace period around the due date.

This has to be the most inept and rude staff using the most archaic billing system that I have ever seen. Debbie the "supervisor" is sarcastic and condescending and takes no accountability for errors in their billing process and useless system. Absolute joke. Thank God we moved out of this district and finally have a convenient billing portal to use with a helpful staff to assist.
