Talks very fast. Presents himself as in a hurry to go on to the next patient. Absence of a calming presence; presents as excitable and goes on the defensive with simple inquiries. Needs to step back, relax, and respond and convey responses calmly so as not to as alarm patients and/or immediate family. Patients and immediate family need information as to what is happening, results of tests, and current and possible outcomes and paths of care. Patients and family are living breathing beings and deserve calm physicians who convey an appearance and atmosphere of caring importance to the care of the patients not a medical lecture or instruction conveyance to medical students or medical conventions. Business posture, ie a business meeting presentation, does not belong in patient care.
