Rooms & bathrooms are a good size (depending on which room you get, if you get one at the lower gravel parking lot the rooms are a bit smaller). Beds & pillows are comfortable. Rooms are very clean compared to other hotels in the area. They have rooms with 1 king bed or 2 double beds. Some rooms have much more storage space than others, some have a closet & others don't. Some rooms have a table & chair(s) but some rooms don't. The owners have worked hard on keeping the hotel looking clean & decent. It's mostly quiet except for the highway traffic & the Sharpsburg train. Sometimes other guests get a bit loud but it's rare to have people being really loud. You aren't allowed to have any guests or visitors so that cuts down on the noise & the traffic in & out of the hotel. Would be much better if there was a microwave in the rooms instead of having to go all the way down to the check in desk/office to use a microwave. The microwave is outside which really sucks, especially when it's very cold, windy, rainy or other bad weather outside. Be careful coming in & out of the driveway bc it's rough & if your vehicle is low like mine, it will scrub. Best to turn in at an angle & go very slowly. Rooms: Decent sized rooms with comfortable beds. The doors & door frames were recently replaced & are much more secure & solid. No microwave in the rooms. Wifi is decent. Walkability: It's close enough to Domino's Pizza, gas stations, Hardee's & dollar stores if you needed to walk. Noteworthy details: The family that runs the hotel are good people but they don't put up with any crap at the hotel either. So if you're wanting to party or have traffic in & out, you may wanna pick a different hotel bc they won't put up with it.
