The Raleigh School

The Raleigh School has been an amazing experience for our daughter and family! The learning environment and care for each individual child by the teachers is second to none.

I'm a huge fan of the Raleigh School.  When I first heard of it, I heard about the heavy parent involvement and I was a little skeptical... but once my little guy started in 2s class I realized I knew all his school mates, I knew their parents, and became part of an amazing community.  We're all in!  Both kids went to preschool, and now we're in the elementary school and so impressed with the teachers and staff.  If you like project-based learning, group-learning, child-directed learning, outdoor learning... it's the best place around.

We love TRS.  Our experience with pre-school and elementary school were amazing.  Our youngest child is now in 5th grade and we are sad to end our time as part of TRS.  My children have been at TRS since 2 and 4 years old.  The pre-school is so sweet.  The children learn through play.  The elementary school curriculum challenged my children and created a love of learning in them.  The environment is loving and inclusive.  I highly recommend TRS.

Our family has been attending The Raleigh School for 8 years now and we have been extremely impressed with the school. My kids have developed a love for learning that I did not know was possible. The focus on social and emotional learning has brought new awareness to my kids when faced with challenges. Now that there is a new focus on how schools handle adversity, I can honestly say The Raleigh School has handled the pandemic like experts. Our kids were up and running within days of the initial shutdown - holding a true virtual experience for the kids, they did not miss a beat. I would give anything for this school to continue thru 8th grade so that we did not have to leave.

I just learned that the school threw away our belongings after never contacting us all summer. We were not allowed to go to campus all summer and when we asked about his things the first week of school they said they threw it away to make room for the kids coming in. True lack of respect for families and their belongings. Or maybe people who go here can just afford to keep repurchasing things so it doesn't matter as much to them??
