        I donated to Nami going back years ago. I am a recent college graduate so I do not have a ton to contribute. But, I gave what I could and I thought it was a good cause. However, when I actually needed their help for a friend, I waited about 2-3 hours for just a text. Once I received the text, they basically said they couldn't help me and ended the conversation.If you are looking for somewhere that actually helps with mental health, move on from this organization and keep looking.

        The folks at NAMI North Carolina have been a big part of my journey of wellness now for well over 20 years, although faces have changed. But their willingness to go above and beyond in supporting those in our communities affected by mental health conditions has never waivered. In this visit I was able to obtain some much needed NAMI materials to spread awareness and NAMI's message of hope. Thank you. You are awesome people!!!
